What instant funding actually means
An instant funding account skips the evaluation. You pay once and trade the firm's capital from
the first minute — no profit target to pass, no phases to survive, no minimum trading days
before you can withdraw.
The shortcut is always priced in somewhere. With any instant product, look for where:
- A higher price per dollar of capital — often several times a comparable
challenge
- A smaller starting account, with size earned through a scaling plan
- A lower profit split on the entry sizes
- Loss limits measured on equity, so open positions count against you
Crypto Fund Trader's Instant account makes all four trade-offs, and publishes every one of
them. That transparency is why it is the product we point to.
How the Crypto Fund Trader Instant account works
- Buy an account
$2,500 for $125, $5,000 for $240 or $10,000 for $475. It is funded on purchase — there is
no evaluation phase.
- Trade inside the limits
5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum overall loss, calculated on equity against the initial
balance. No deadline, no minimum trading days.
- Reach 10% profit
On a $5,000 account that means $5,500 in equity.
- Request a "Withdrawal & Upgrade"
From the dashboard: you take your share of the profit — 50%, 60% or 70% depending on the
starting size — and the account is reissued at twice the size.
- Repeat
Every rung needs another 10%. A $2,500 account reaches CFT's $1,280,000 ceiling in nine
upgrades. Each trader may run up to three Instant accounts at once.

The double-up ladder, rung by rung
Every rung asks for the same 10%, which is what makes the ladder interesting: the difficulty
does not rise, only the stakes. The profit column is gross — your share depends on the split
attached to your account.
| Rung | Account size | Profit to upgrade | Next size |
| 1 | $2,500 | $250 | $5,000 |
| 2 | $5,000 | $500 | $10,000 |
| 3 | $10,000 | $1,000 | $20,000 |
| 4 | $20,000 | $2,000 | $40,000 |
| 5 | $40,000 | $4,000 | $80,000 |
| 6 | $80,000 | $8,000 | $160,000 |
| 7 | $160,000 | $16,000 | $320,000 |
| 8 | $320,000 | $32,000 | $640,000 |
| 9 | $640,000 | $64,000 | $1,280,000 |
| 10 | $1,280,000 | $128,000 | $ceiling |
Starting from the $2,500 account. Derived from CFT's published 10% double-up rule and $1,280,000 ceiling.
The honest reading of this table
Nine consecutive 10% gains without a 10% drawdown is a very high bar. The ladder is best
read as "the account grows as fast as you can prove yourself", not as a plan. Most traders
will spend their time on the first three or four rungs.
Instant versus a challenge, at the same firm
Crypto Fund Trader sells both, which makes for a clean comparison: same company, same
platforms, same instruments. Only the route in changes.
| $10,000 account | Price | Per $1,000 | Before you are funded | Loss limits |
| Instant | $475 | $47.50 | Nothing — funded on purchase | 5% daily · 10% max |
| Accelerated | $80 | $8.00 | Pass a 10% target | 4% daily · 6% max |
| Evaluation | $110 | $11.00 | Pass a 10% target | 4% daily · 6% max |
| Ascend | $90 | $9.00 | Pass 8%, then 5% | 5% daily · 10% max |

Every size and program →
Instant costs roughly five to six times as much as a challenge for the same capital. What the
premium buys is not capital — it is time, and the certainty that you will be
trading funded tomorrow rather than in several weeks.
Note the loss limits too. Instant's 10% ceiling is wider than the 6% on the one-phase
challenges, which matters more than it looks: a strategy that needs room to breathe is more
likely to survive on Instant than on Accelerated.
When instant funding is worth the premium
- You already have an edge and would pass a challenge — you simply do not
want to spend weeks proving it.
- Your strategy fails 6% limits but survives 10%: Instant gives you the
wider ceiling without a two-phase evaluation.
- You want to start small and scale on results, and the double-up ladder
suits how you trade.
It is the wrong buy if:
- You are still finding out whether you can trade profitably at all — a $40 challenge is a
far cheaper experiment.
- You need a large account from day one. Instant starts at $10,000 at most.
- You cannot afford to lose the fee. A breached Instant account is gone, exactly like a
failed challenge.
The structural warning
A firm selling instant funding collects a larger fee and takes on risk immediately. That puts
unusual weight on the loss clause, because the loss clause is what caps the firm's exposure.
At Crypto Fund Trader the limits are measured on equity, so an open position
that moves against you counts before you close it. Size positions for the worst intraday
move, not the closing price.
What about the other firms?
Crypto Fund Trader is the only firm in our table of 14 with an instant
funded product we have checked against its published terms. Several other firms advertise
"instant" or "direct" funding elsewhere; we will add them here once their terms have been
reviewed the same way.
If you would rather go the challenge route, our list of
the cheapest crypto prop firm challenges is the place
to start, and our decision framework will
tell you which rule set fits your strategy.

Some links on this page are affiliate links: if you buy a challenge after clicking one, we may

Risk warning
Trading leveraged crypto derivatives carries a high risk of loss. Challenge fees are generally
non-refundable and most participants never reach a payout. Nothing on this site is financial
